When Albackore came out with it's very first tackle backpack, there were no tackle backpacks on the market.  Dealers never thought fishermen would even bother to buy such a thing.  But I knew the problem down that docks trying to get your gear, duffle bag, and rods in one trip.  Nearly impossible at the time, so I designed that backpack.  Unfortunately, after 8 years, all the manufacturers saw this potential and started copying the backpack.  Shimano did it, Plano did it, Open Water did it as well as many others.  When we decided to stop making the backpacks there were 8 different manufacturers with very similar styles and features.  We ended production because there's just not enough room for that many products in such a small market.  Two years later, only a couple of manufacturers now exist.

So, we halted manufacture ofthe Albackore brand fishing tackle line completely and we're selling off the remaining fishing tackle systems in our warehouse at below wholesale prices. You can now find these fishing tackle items on eBay and on Amazon. Products remaining in our warehouse include the Altunative soft tackle bag, reel bags, jig holders and keepers, fishing lure wraps, plastic utility boxes, drop shot clips, surf and shore tackle bags, and tackle lure binders.
